Meet Matt

Matt is deeply rooted and vested in the community! As a native Delawarean and Middletown resident, he will push to have your voice heard in Dover!

Matt is the third generation of his family raised in Middletown. He is committed to serving the community and has done so since his early days as a cadet in JROTC. During this time, he earned the President’s Volunteer Service Award and found his passion for community service. He went on to join the Civil Air Patrol and earned his pilot’s license. To this day, Matt serves as a Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol with thirteen years of service and enjoys bird-eye views of our great state while airborne.

Matt earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware and majored in Criminal Justice with a minor in Leadership. He continued being active in the community by mentoring children as a volunteer in the Youth Street Outreach Program.

Upon graduating from the University of Delaware, Matt attended law school at American University and is a licensed attorney. While studying law, he continued to seek opportunities to be involved in the community. He represented non-profits and low-income housing clients in the Community and Economic Development Law Clinic. Matt was also President of the Business Law Society.

Throughout Matt’s life, he has been involved in the MOT community. He is a member of the 8th Representative District and serves as a Committeeperson. He volunteered with the 10th Senate District Multicultural Coalition, and has participated in 5K’s to support local charities. He prides himself on being an active member of the MOT community and looks forward to continuing his service as your next State Representative.
